I'm Thomas and I've been around the RPF and TPD for a while (same user name) and have a keen interest in rare SW photos particularly from ANH. As far as collecting goes, my main (only) focus has been Darth Vader and I have a very small collection of Vader helmets. I'm almost more a Vader fan than SW fan since it was Vader that kept me interested in SW since I saw it in the theater in 1977 at the age of 10. This is the best archival site I've ever seen and the sheer number of rare photos I've not seen before is just simply astonishing and a credit to those kind enough here to post their images. I'll have to dust off my scanner and see if I can come up with something. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

I thought I had alot of rare images but after a few hours of looking around I see alot of what I own is on here so I'm shit out of luck getting into the Contributors forum..Just kidding. Well I have many books and lots of images in general about 70GB for Vader so I will see what I can add to the site.

I'm impressed. And there was one Vader pic I did not have on this site so thanks.

Hello everyone!

I am Johan from Sweden, 32 years old. My interest started when I got the comic book rendition of ROTJ from a classmate on my 8th years old birthday party back in 1983. About the same time I also watched ANH on television, and on video over and over and over and I absolutely loved it. The Star Wars craze was intense, but unfortunately it was soon over for me and my friends. I have to admit that I actually did not experience Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi as movies until I was a teenager, about 15 years old.
I have gradually become more and more of a hardcore Star Wars fan since the craze in 1999 when the first prequel came and my interest in the old movies was reawakened. I am a prop/replica collector (and builder!) and also into costuming, with three approved costumes in the Rebel Legion.

I have got to say that this site is great! For research into props and costumes, this photo collection is an absolute goldmine.

Hey all

My name is Markus Odendall, 37 years old, married, living in Cologne/ germany.
I´m known as OdiWan72 over at the RPF for close to 9 or 10 years now, which is pretty much the time I´ve been collecting and building props.

Started with vintage SW toys, changed to the new toy line when it came out and wasted tons of money on this stuff. Since I wanted to have something to display, instead of collecting stuff in boxes, stored away in my basement...I switched to props (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Have quite a collection of blasters, lightsabers and general equipment plus an ESB Vader and a Republic Commando suit (SEVV). Also know as the german "blaster master", which is a nickname that was given me over at the RPF (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Really looking forward to explore then treasures of this awesome website!!!

Hello! My name is Gabriel, I'm from Dayton, Ohio. I was born two months to the day before the original Star Wars came out in 1977.
I work in a probation office and have been an avid Star Wars autograph collector since 1995, when I got my first Dave Prowse and Alec Guinness signed items.
I had heard about this place from a few friends and was curious what all the hub bub was about.
So far I must say this place blows me away!

My name is David and I am new to this board but have been a SW fan since day one. I started out as a young toy collector and then gave up after ROTJ, but got back into it in 95 with the new toys. I have since given up the toys and moved into prop replicas. I have had everything from lightsabers to helmets but my main focus has been on Vader.

I have been to the last 3 celebration events in the US so I have some artwork and autos I can share but I am not sure how much I have that is actually rare, everyone can get the OP photos.....

Looking forward to checking things out and seeing lots of great SW images.

I see a lot of familiar faces here. I'm Jeremy and live in London and like everyone else here love good old Star Wars. Never got into the whole collecting thing as a kid although I had a handful of SW toys, but I've always loved the props and artistry that went into the films and that's stayed with me.

This is an awesome site with tonnes of very cool photos, I've just added one to the ANH troopers and am really looking forward to looking around here! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I'm Carsten... just realized that I'd forgotten to introduce myself when I posted my first post and seeing that it was indeed... my first. Oh well, hopefully better late than never, or something. I helped start up TPD and am currently wasting my time with writing and sculpting and collecting props and kits.

Been a fan of Star Wars since I was 7... saw ESB and RotJ a year later - and at the time it was impossible to find ANH on video... so that was seen a few years later. Main interest is Vader and pretty ladies... and Star Wars has plenty of that to go around... so naturally, I'm a fan.

Otherwise... hope I'll have stuff to share down the line, but am already awed by what is posted here. Awesome shots! .)

Hello! I would also like to introduce myself: I live in Germany and am a big Star Wars fan.
My English is far from perfect, but I hope it´s enough that you can understand me. And I hope you forgive me if I write something wrong.
My understanding of this language is quite good. Especially when it deals with a subject that I know well - for example Star Wars! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
I have a pretty extensive collection and I think I'll be able to contribute something. But first I need to look at what is already here - the first look reveals, that it is extremely impressive!!!
